Our Roots

We started our family business in 2009 with one goal in mind: providing a quality fish and chip experience to enjoy by the coast. With a combined experience of over 75 years in the food industry and dedication, we’re constantly striving to become masters of the craft. Providing a high quality, wholesome, unprocessed and nutritious dish that has been the nations treasure for over 160 years and simply unforgettable.

Where did the name Finney's come from?

Finney was Mike's family nickname growing up, and to us Fish & Chips reminds us of family.

We wanted a family warmth to go with our fish and chips, as well as to link our 2 shops.  So we believed Finney's was just right for us.

We aim to serve Fish and Chips that can be enjoyed by everyone, down on the beach or at home.

A traditional British dish can span the generations.



We are constantly looking at ways to improve ourselves, our product, and our practices.

We strive to reduce waste in food or packaging by trying new ideas and working closely with our suppliers to ensure we have the best, and enviromently friends packaging.

Above all, we believe in sustainability.  We want to ensure our favourite dish is still available for the future generations.
