A Unique Mix




I have been involved in the food industry from a very young age, working school holidays with my dad who was a wholesale butcher.  I progressed on to working in different catering environments, and becoming the youngest shift running manager in McDonald’s North West. 

I continued my passion for cooking by training at Llandrillo college, cooking in hotels and worked with a few award-winning chefs along the way.

After the arrival of our first child, we made the decision to change scenery and along with Carol and my dad, we started in our first chip shop.  The rest they say is history.

My interests are photography, golf, and the world of fish and chips!!

Everyday is a school day :)




Starting in 2009 was not the first time I’ve worked in a chip shop.  I had a part time job when I was 15 in my local chippy, and I've wanted to be involved ever since.

I have always worked in the food and hospitality industry, learning as much as I can from any situation. I enjoy the buzz of being busy and the interactions with customers, because at the end of the day, chip shops are more than just about serving good food.

You learn something new everyday,

if you don't you're dumb ;)



Shift Manager

Geraint, Carol's brother joined the family business in 2013.  Geraint mainly enjoys Gaming in his spare time, but he likes to experiment with different ideas in the kitchen which has led it his own input in our menu.  Training and learning through the years have given him a keen eye for detail, especially when it comes to proof reading Mike's errors



Shop Manager

Karan joined us in 2019, starting at the Golden Fry. Having catering experience, Karan learnt our trade quickly, recieving our in house training also training from the NFFF.  After excelling in her position Karan now sees to the day to day running of our Amlwch Port Shop while also involving the chippy in the community.



Customer Service

Finn joined us in 2022 and he's always trying to crack a joke, although he doesnt always succeed but his customer service skills are second to non.

Finn's best thing about working here at Finney's is getting to know the customers from near and far!



Customer Service

I love rugby and listening to music. I enjoy working as a team and engaging with customers.

Tomos is a breath of fresh air, he's also a quiet sole but his charater just pops out and mkes you smile



Frying & Customer Service 

Sion joined us in June 2021 and has worked hard for us ever since and is showing a keen eye for cooking and preparation.  He has also recieved training at the KFE school of excellence 

Sion likes football in his spare time and is currently studying business at college
